days like these

What a great day. The kids and I slept in until around 8:00 then we ran 2.6 miles which just happen to end at a park then we came home and put a blanket on the grass and played until lunch which Zack took his outside and reagan and I stayed in. Then we had popsicles, and then it was reagan's nap. And I finally got to shower around 1:30. We then ran some errands and stopped by another park which has a funny story now...

Zack was off playing by some water while Reagan was sliding, and I look over to see Zack's stark white naked bum staring back at me. I guess if you've got to go you've got to go! He makes me laugh everyday he is coming up with fun things to do. He also did this at a family party about a week ago...come to think of it he peed into some water there too...i'm beginning to see a patern...

then we went to Jeff's mom's house where she fixed reagan's dress like new and then offered to cook us dinner while the kids played in the yard.

It was just a good day...I love summer...

Zack wanted a popsicle so of course Reagan did too even though she didn't know what it was she just kept saying "opsile" until she got whatever it was that was in Zack's hand.

friends from MI

We are back in Utah and finally feeling settled. It is SO nice to be home and know that this is it...we are done...well almost. Jeff still has to take the bar in July but no biggie, i'm sure he'll do just fine. We got his diploma in the mail the other day...i'm so proud of him, what an accomplishment. Congrats to all the Cooley grads!

We also got to see some good friends that we've missed these past 5 months. It was kind of strange going from being a couple doors down from them and literally seeing them everyday to all of the sudden not even being able to call them.

We were so blessed in Michigan to meet such wonderful friends. The people we met in MI is what made it such a great place to live, and I know everyone who has lived there or currently there would agree. There is no place like it.

The kids were just as excited to see each other as we were...

the girls taking a break...

drinks and s'mores...

It was a fun day and hopefully we can continue to get together with all of our friends from MI as they finish law school or med school and move back west.
just a side note, it's funny how we all lived so close and we would have never met if it wasn't for school

After Jeff and Zack left my mom came the next day. We had so much fun. We played around London for a few days then took off to Switzerland. We went there pretty much with out a plan.

Our first day there we decided to go get reagan some food at a local mall and ended up sitting next to a couple who had two kids. I was kind of listening to them speak and thought they sounded american so I told mom they were and she started to talk to them. Come to find out the girl had a BYU shirt on...what are the chances! They helped us out so much, they showed us where to catch the tram that would take us to the main rail station because they just happened to be on their way to it, and what part of the alps would be best to go to. They were full of information we needed.

The pictures are posted backwards, but you get the idea....

The Swiss Alps or the Top of Europe ~ I actually saw runners at around 10,000 feet I just couldn't imagine running at that altitude.

We had to catch the last train down wich happened to be with a tour group from India and they LOVED Reagan. They couldn't stop taking pictures of her (they did ask first) and they wanted to hold her and touch her hair and skin. But these two little girls kept her intertained for atleast the first train wich was a blessing.
The very top of the alps...atleast as far as we dared to go it was snowing and icy, and the india people were freaking out that reagan didn't have a hat on...it was only 32 degrees...I figured it wasn't that bad considering winters in MI get well below zero.

The Ice Palace...the walls and floor and everything is well, ice.

The view on the way up...it was literally like being in a picture

Another view from the train

a little town on our way up the mountain

On our way to the alps...first train reagan is still happy

The only country we technically didn't go to that we were really close to, but thought a picture would be fun

Hyde Park, London

The Beef Eaters

Well that is mom's visit in a nutshell it was fun and I was glad to be able to spend some time with my mom. We had a blast and I can't wait for another fun adventure...

Wow, it's been a while since I have posted. So let me catch up...Jeff had two whole weeks after his externship to finally relax and enjoy London. It was fun to just hang out with him and I know the kids loved it. (not sure if these next few posts will be in order) Here is some of what we did while we had him all to ourselves.

We got front row seats to watch the royal guards and band get ready for the changing of the guard. We arrived early and a cop told we had to go across the street to watch unless we were family of someone in the military. We were like...no we're not, and then he said it again and we finally clued in that he was trying to help us. Then he asked us to cross over to his side of the gate where we could really see what was going on. It was fun to see everyone else get booted to the other side of the street and we got to stay.

the guards getting checked that they are dressed accordingly and in line...

the nice cop who let us stay....
The band starting to march toward buckingham palace...

We of course hit some parks...
reagan going down on her belly -

Zack finally posing for a picture -

Trafalga Square ~

Some wierd horse thing we ventured upon ~ it was weird because the guards on their horses stood facing eachother for about an hour then dispersed...i'm sure it all has to do with tradition, but it was kinda like watching paint dry.

the horses leaving (I think they were headed to the palace)

Buckingham Palce ~

Prince Diana Memorial Fountain ~

Playing in the fountain ~ apparently your not supposed too...oops
